On the subject of late-night comedy, the entertainment business is probably one of the most entrenched and sexist places that women can venture to get a toe-hold in, and you have to be pretty tough and very talented to do well. If Ms. Scovell only lasted a few months, I think it says more about her talent and ability than sexism on the job. Letterman's comedy can be scathing and visceral - don't you have an idea of what you're getting into? And who cares about his sex life?

This is my favorite book of all time. We took our 11+7 yr old boys to see the movie. I think the review is dead on. I loved the movie, except for the extreme personification of the wild things (i agree that they talked too much). My 11 yr old loved it. My 7 yr old said it was "too loud and too sad". True dat.

No interest in that movie.
