Yes, I always fill out the comment sheets when we return from a trip. I put down good or bad!

We took this trip and it is wonderful. Everyone I knew commented, why would you want to go to India?? It was so educational and interesting. Our places we stayed were wonderful. Our tour guide was not the best, he was like a little dictator but we did not let this ruin our trip.

Any favorite titles, Pat?

I really enjoyed one that is based on fact. It is "The Innocent Man". His others are fiction. Some that I have enjoyed are: "The Partner", "The Summons", The King of Tarts, The Brethren, A Painted House". I plan to have one to read on the plane for our upcoming trip in 46 days.

We took the Norwegian Coastal cruise, it was not one of our favorite trips with Vantage. One night the sea was so rough a lady fell out of her bed, broke her hip. We had to leave her behind. Her son from USA flew over to be with her. Of course that had nothing to do with Vantage. The picture of us on this site is us with Fantage this past May. We were celebrating our 55th wedding anniversary. We did a river cruise, Across Europe to the Black Sea. A very nice trip.

Ms. Musgrove, the Norwegian Coastal voyage is one of our most popular products right now, but we're always trying to make things better. Rough seas are something we can't really avoid. But I hope that you filled out your post-trip survey, especially if you had comments you felt would be helpful on other aspects of the trip.

We took the Amazon river cruise a couple years ago and it was the best. The ship only had 61 on it, all from Vantage and we loved it. We took the trip in March. Our guides were the best.

We have had a terrible time with Vantage Travel trying to get our reservations straight. The call center salespeople assigned us the wrong departure date. Once that was corrected we got an additional charge of $890 tacked on. The published rate sheet for Vantage didn't show any justification for that added charge. Maybe Vantage is a good company, maybe not. These first encounters with them are not encouraging.

Don't give up. We were unhappy with some things on our first Vantage trip and thought we would not travel with them again. However, we decided to will soon be on our 10th trip with them and planning the 11th. They are a good company! We've been very happy with them since the first experience.

Ms. Dean, thanks for your comments, and Ms. Forney for your support. We're in Marketing, not Customer Service, so we can't comment on Ms. Dean's specific case, but we can say this:
We do everything we can to simplify our prices. But with so many incidental charges that are not under our control -- government entry taxes, visa fees, port taxes, ... Read Moreand the like -- it is impossible to roll everything up neatly into a single price. Travel is a complex business, and any tour operator who tells you differently is being dishonest.
For this reason, it is extremely important for travelers to read the Terms & Conditions (posted on our web site & regularly updated) and all other "fine print."
When in doubt, ask one of our customer service representatives; they are there to help. Again, this is not a comment on Ms. Dean's case -- just a general word of advice.
We're sorry to hear Ms. Dean had a bad experience, but we've been in business over 25 years and have thousands of happy customers.
