Visit the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore
The American Visionary Art Museum, a glass mosaic tiled building located in historic Federal Hill in Baltimore, is a museum grounded in inspiration. All the pieces in this eccentric museum were created by self-taught artists. The spark of inspiration struck and they made art. Featured pieces include Fifi, the lead dog in the peddle-powered Kinetic Sculpture race, a sculpture of the performer named Divine, made famous by John Waters, and a scale replica of the Lusitania made out of glue and toothpicks.
