This was my first exposure to Gil Scott Heron's music. Played on WDET in Detroit in 1983 when I was beginning to broaden my musical horizons. Thank you GSH

I was raised on GSH, my dad would play his music on Saturdays while we were doing chores around the house. It takes me back, I I'm still listening to to the The Great Gil Scott Heron.

Too bad it seems like all the Granmas are gone and we are left with a void within our communities. Where are the ma'deahs, the big mamas, and the nanas. what we have now seems to be a bunch of women who can't be bothered to show support that came from the bible, the switch, or the sweet potato pie. glad I came thru when I did, can't wait to be granma to my babies.
