yes, he did do the music for the stage production of the 'lord of the rings'... and i love him for his music and not his pedigree... but the man has roots in kerala... he even speaks malayalam when he appears in interviews on malayalam channels... i dont know why some of you found it so shocking (and one of you even seems to have found it to be insulting to call him a keralite)... no state can claim him as their own... his music is plain divine... from the heavens...

Yep he is a great musician, but it wont be good to raise him to God's level as he himself hates those ressemblence. He is a proud INDIAN and i agree with midhun that he is not any states property, although he is originally from kerala and settlef in tamilnadu. Any Indian should be proud of this guy and shud stop dividing great talents statewise
