Joni and Friends has special camps for kids with disabilities. This is a unique camp where the families are invited to stay and have time to rest and get rejuvinated while their kids are partnered with a STM (short term missionary). The STM is be a friend as well as support to the family for the week. Words can't describe what this camp is like and how the spirit of the Lord is at work within everybody involved. Campers have fun activities such as swimming, crafts, cookouts as well as some really different activities such as zip-lines, power swings and gigantic walls to climb and he always favorite water slide.

I was blessed with the opportunity to be the photographer for the week. I will admit on the first day of camp you can't help but notice wheelchairs and walkers but you quickly don't see those anymore and you just see the camper. I know I grew as a person this week and will be there next year to be part of this wonderful organization.
