Iranian nuclear talks are underway today, on the heels of a bunch of missile tests and the revelation about the second enrichment plant near Qom.

They lurch all over the place: What's their game? What diplomatic playbook are these guys calling from?

What a marvelous excuse for a tune born in the very narrow and creepy space where nuclear brinksmanship meets Laverne & Shirley...meets...Lord of the Rings, I guess.

(Oh, and what the heck am I doing at the beginning? It's the same as the beginning of the TV show...only I'm counting in Farsi. And then saying the names of the two uranium enrichment sites. And changing "Hassenpheffer" to "Khomeini." That's all.)

The Iranians aren't the only ones singing this tune! My stubborn four daughters rip this one out every night around 5:15pm when cartoons have ended, "It's too buggy/cold/hot outside", and I'm running around chopping veggies with one hand and sauteing chicken with the other. Back up singers or dictators in the making? Only time will tell.
