0:56
Are you someone who is good at strategizing and thinking ahead? If so, check out today’s featured MOS, the 15Q- Air Traffic Control (ATC) Operator.

In order to function the Army moves people and vehicles. One of the ways the Army does this is by air. It is the responsibility of the Air Traffic Control Operator to track planes and give landing and take-off instructions at air traffic control facilities. The air traffic control operator supervises and provides air traffic control services, which include flight following using visual flight rules, instrument flight rules and special visual flight rules, at air traffic control facilities.

Know someone who might find this MOS interesting? Tell them about the OS and share this video with them. Continue to check out the AEC page to find out what the next featured MOS will be.

What do pilots and ATC's have in common? If the pilot makes a mistake - the pilot dies. If the ATC makes a mistake...the pilot dies.

I am so shocked and saddened by today's Military tragedy at Fort Hood. I pray to God Almighty that humanity 'wakes up' to what is happening in this world...and I pray that someone has the sense to connect with my son at Fort Knox and let him know his Mother is ALWAYS in his corner...

Joe with out Atc makes sure that planes don't try Landing at the same tiem. Also to make sure that planes wont try to land right after each other. I can cause alot of people there lives. They also keep planes from crashing into each other in mid air, and if they are falling out of a certain height the ATC can let them know to correct it.
