Absolutely restore the programs that will grow this economy and DO IT BY RAISING TAXES...it is the citizens duty to contribute especially in this time of need. Those who complain about doing what is necessary should be stripped of their job, home, healthcare and thrown into the streets (including Mike Bishop and the like)...maybe that will help ... Most of the people who have good paying jobs right now in the private sector did little to deserve it, but rather had some help up by family and friends, or some other unearned advantage, and should get down on their knees in gratitude for their positions and quit complaining about having to pay more to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the citizens and economy of this state. Teabaggers are unpatriotic enemies of the people....and if they are looking for revolution...they might want to be careful for what they ask....as it may be attracted to their own doorstep.

Government is not a for profit company, they must have tax revenue to provide services to citizens. We must reform the tax code so that is appropriate for this century. Our state government (US) has a structural deficit, foisted on us by those who thought tax cuts would solve all problems. If this had been the case, our state would now be one of the wealthiest instead of an example of conservative mismanagement.
