This Thursday, November 12th, West Berlin Gallery will celebrate the big opening of Blood Sweat Vector group exhibition, and VKMP3 will support the party with spinning some good music…
Blood Sweat Vector, founded 2008 by the designers Jared Nickerson (aka J3Concepts) and Brad Mahaffey as a platform for news, portfolios, recommendations and artistic exchange, is today one of the biggest networks for vectordesign. Some of the most important international vector artists are among the members. Blood Sweat Vector sees itself as an open channel for communication which encourages instant feedback and allows for interaction between likeminded designers.
All Blood Sweat vector members are highly regarded international and can look back on several cooperations, doing design for vinyl toys, skateboards, video games or fashion. In their portfolios you will find clients like Louis Vuitton, Kid Robot, Eastpack, MTV, Adidas, Sony, Artoyz and publications in magazines like Modart, WAD, Juxtapoz and many more.
West Berlin Gallery presents a group exhibition of the artist collectiv ‚Blood Sweat Vector’, running from November 13th to December 12th 2009. For the first time works by members of online-communityBlood Sweat Vector will be brought together in the rooms of a gallery.
Join us for the Vernissage on Thursday, November 12th, starting 19:00. Some of the artists will be around, as well as Blood Sweat Vector founders Jared Nickerson and Brad Mahaffey.

Long time no post .. ’cause I’ve been busy here and there .. & ’cause Jelka do it right;) Also, lately I’ve done some more work in our studio (mixer, cables, compressor, tape recorder, .. and sorting out records again) to improve again the quality of our broadcasts, podcasts & recordings. I’ll soon write a review about the amazing ARS 4100 mixer we just installed.
That being said, I also turned 30 last friday & recorded a new podcast for that particular time. Thanks to everyone that dropped me a note on Facebook on that day, or sms, or calls & to those who made it to Berlin to celebrate. 30 is also available in iTunes podcasts (search VKMP3) & on soundcloud.

Chicago based DJ Rahaan will come to Germany for the first time and will play for all you Berlin folks at Holy Water on November 19th.
DJ Rahaan is well known and respected for his ability to put together brilliant mixes combiningamazing soulful disco, pulling deep unknown album cuts, making disco classics sound like u never heard `em before, pumping up some jackin house tracks or playing obscure european disco-not-disco.What makes him so special, is his ability to constantly create a huge amount of energy that is focused on the dance, on creating a dense environment, where the single record becomes much more than one song mixed into another, the music communicates with the dancer and turns the crowd into the center of the party.
So don’t miss his set in a really special location, the Monster Ronson. Probably Berlin’s only Karaoke spot with a pole ;). And in the meantime: check out our podcast with DJ Rahaan - Disco Not Disco (it was the first one we featured in our podcast section).
