Wake County Government The Wake County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activated at 5 p.m. TODAY, Thursday, December 17, 2009, in preparation for anticipated winter weather. The EOC is monitoring the ongoing situation and is prepared to coordinate emergency response efforts if needed.


At this time, the Wake County EOC will remain at level ...one, a stand-by operational state. This means that all equipment and personnel are prepared to respond, and the EOC will not be staffed on a continual basis.

Six private medical care providers in Wake County did receive the recalled Sanofi Pasteur prefilled syr...inges (injectable) vaccine, for children ages 6 months to 3 years of age.

Wake County Government Wake County Human Services’ Foster Care program, Body of Christ Church and Child Welfare Faith Partners will host the 6th Annual "Joyful Voices of Youth" Christmas concert on Friday, December 11, 2009, at 7 p.m., at Body of Christ Church, 4501 Spring Forest Road, Raleigh. A reception will begin at 6 p.m.

The concert is... also a toy drive to benefit foster children and child welfare families.The public is invited to join in song with a variety of local youth choirs, including Southeast Raleigh High School, Popular Springs Christian Church Choir, Body of Christ Youth Choir, True Believers of Christ Quartet, Leviticus Gospel Rap, Deliverance Ministries and others. Refreshments will be served before the performance.
