WalkJogRun Newsletter

We run this site in our spare time so to call it a monthly newsletter would be a stretch but we certainly try to send one each month. The newsletter is packed with tips for using the site, announcements about new features or things we think you'll be interested in related to Walking, Jogging or Running (or any of the other sports you do).

WalkJogRun If you have qualified to run the 2010 Boston Marathon and are thinking about doing the race, but have not registered yet, please do so soon. Per the Boston Athletic Association registration office, the race is expected to sell out "very, very, VERY soon."
To register, visit www.bostonmarathon.com.

Registration is underway. If you have met the qualifying standards and intend to enter the race, the B.A.A. urges you to register now and not wait as registration is on pace to reach its maximum field size earlier than ever before. ...

Okay, this one's really embarassing, but it's perfect for my pace. It's Hanson singing "What Christmas Means to Me". Have a listen and I dare you to tell me it's not a good running song!

Yes, but not with a fever, a cold is OK. Having said that I ran a hilly half feeling unwell and fainted over the finish line out of it comletely and broke my tailbone! But I'm crazy. Go with your instinct. Perhaps pace someone slower than you and enjoy the scenery...?

WalkJogRun What are some upcoming running events in your part of the world as winter closes in?

Kath Dodd

Winter doesn't really close in Bangkok, we just breathe a sigh of relief when it goes below 30 degrees and the rain stops! We have the Bangkok marathon in 2 weeks, a night race Sat/Sun. Very flat but LOTS of concrete. Love it!

We're trying to get an idea of what to work on next for the site and have some ideas but thought it would better to ask our members than try to guess at what you might need! All but the first two questions ...
