Wayne Yuan Photography It was the perfect autumn day to walk through Central Park--love was in the air. While we were in New York City, Fiona and Tim felt a little awkward with the PDA at first (my favorite moment was when Tim said,"Seriously, you want me to kiss her?"), but after a few laughs, we knew they were secretly enjoying it (smile).... We were picking up leaves and throwing them into the air (and consequently, became experts at choosing the perfect leaves to do so with). We felt like kids again. Then Fiona and Tim paraded around central park with their colorful balloons (and made a little girl jealous). We felt like kids, again. We finished our 4-hour-long engagement photography session with some good old (gourmet) mac n' cheese. And we felt like kids...again. Well, a little child-like behavior never hurt anybody, and Fiona and Tim looked like they were enjoying every moment of it. See more @ http://www.wayneyuan.com

What makes Houston so awesome? AWESOME FOOD. If you haven't had Texas Barbecue before, you have no idea how gigantic beef ribs can be. It was meat overload galore. For Diana and Sam, it was the perfect way to kick start their wedding weekend. And any bride that can eat barbecue the night before her wedding has to be fa...bulous! They booked the trendy Hotel ZaZa for the ins-and-outs of their big day. (Word has it Beyoncé stays here when she visits the south!) After watching Diana's dad chop up a whole, roasted pig at their Vietnamese Tea Ceremony (with the Asian squat, butcher knife and all), they tied the knot at Rice University to take advantage of their beautiful architecture. We all agreed, it was juicy. Their reception was no less fabulous. They even bought their own photobooth (from Italy) to entertain their guests! And we even hopped into the photobooth to take a few fun shots of ourselves. What a great way to end our final wedding of the year! Thanks guys! You make us want to come back again.
On another note, we came to Houston at the perfect time to welcome Wayne's new baby nephew! We'd never held a baby so little before...less than 24 hours old. Welcome little Will! When you're old enough, you've gotta try some of that good ole Texas Bah-beh-cue.

Hello Boston! Hello...snow in October? We were watching the Patriots slaughter the Titans Sunday afternoon as snow covered their fields and the Tennesseans slipped left and right. Suddenly we realized, oh my gawd, it's snowing right now?! In Boston?! Oh yes, marshmallow-sized flakes were falling from the sky right outs...ide our window as Amy and Angela texted each other in shock/horror/confusion. We could only hope that pushing the photo shoot back one day would help us stay dry and warm. Luckily, the next morning was gorgeous. Sunny, clear, breezy gorgeous--the perfect day for Amy and Jon's engagement shoot!
We started the morning at the Public Garden across from Boston Commons. The morning glow was sweet. And the fact that Amy and Jon kept giggling made it even sweeter. They took us up Beacon Hill to the famous Acorn Street--coolest cobblestone road we'd ever seen! (Wayne exclaimed, "HOT!") We let Jon do a couple of his GQ poses that he'd been practicing (secretly) with his sleeves rolled up. Sweet. We had such a blast with you two! Sweet potato fries rock.

Mica and Mark came all the way from Dallas, Texas to take portraits with us in New York City! They've been married five years, and yet they still couldn't keep their hands off each other--Mark could not stop kissing her (smile). We did a morning shoot at the Meatpacking District and Highline Park, and though it was fre...ezing outside, these two Texans were true troopers--even with runny noses, they gave us their best smiles. The morning sun was so gorgeous, if it wasn't so hard to get up that early, we'd do sunrise photoshoots all the time!
Happy Birthday, Mica! You guys are the cutest. And don't forget to watch Flash Forward (smile).

Maybe it's the flamboyant colors, or maybe it's the hot dogs--but people do crazy things at Coney Island. Like trying to take pictures on a moving merry-go-round. And hanging upside-down from monkey bars. And running through a crowd of seagulls, with a kite....three times. Sheryl and Mike, thanks for exploring with us!... And remember--making out in public is allowed during engagement sessions (smile). We were happy campers because the sunlight was gor-ge-ous! Plus, how can you not end the Coney Island experience with some funnel cake? Mmm. We were happy campers indeed.

When you put together a warehouse of graffiti, two stretch limos, and both the bride and groom rocking out with their band, this wedding can only be described as FIERCE. Sigh and JayR stepped up the game with every single detail of their big day. Like having three pairs of bridal shoes. And the fanciest wedding invitat...ions we'd ever seen. And the fact that Sigh made all of her own centerpieces still amazes us (they looked professional!). They even had their own "Red Carpet" style photobooth for their guests! And you can't beat a portrait session at 5 Pointz. They invited all their super-talented siblings to perform throughout the reception to spice up the party (is it a Filipino thing that everybody knows how to sing?!) And for the grand finale, we all caught a glimpse of their alternate lifestyle as rockstars--their band, April's End, rocked out the final moments of the evening. Seriously fierce.

Lande and Andy's names sound so similar that when we called one of them, both would respond. This became a slight problem when we tried to get Lande to "give us some sass"....because, well, Andy started to do some pretty strange things (smile). Just teasing. You guys did awesome! The sunlight was gorgeously juicy--we l...oved it! So we decided to check out Highline Park near the Meatpacking District for the very first time--we loved it! Lande also showed up with a fresh new haircut--we looooved it! And Andy learned how to "prance" across the Hudson River Walk--AND WE LOVED IT! You guys are heaps of fun. Can't wait until your wedding next March!

When life gives you wind, make it a huuuuuge studio fan. Even with her hair flying every which way, Melissa looked like she was posing for a magazine cover--and John would tell us, "she's trying to look sexy". John, we know you were trying to look sexy too! (smile) No doubt, they rocked it! They also have the littlest ...dog I'd ever seen. "Boo" was actually what John gave Melissa when he proposed (in addition to the ring of course!) Piermont, NY turned out to be a really nice place for pictures. Thanks guys for the galbi overload--Korean food always makes us happy (smile).

We've always heard about the amazing view of New York from the Hyatt in Jersey City, but seeing it in person was just incredible! Even Rosemari herself couldn't believe she was getting married there as she gazed out her bridal suite window--a clear, beautiful skyline of Manhattan. It was a big day for Rosemari and Jame...s, so you can imagine getting ready for the wedding was no easy task! Yet through all the this-and-that's and here-and-there's of the busy morning, all the anxieties turned to glee when Rosemari saw (spied on) her soon-to-be-husband through her window. And all of a sudden, she forgot about everything else, and happily exclaimed, "I can't wait to marry my husband!" (tear). We're so glad they did. And to celebrate, they showed off their fresh new ballroom dance moves to impress the crowd! You guys did awesome!
