Michelle regarding the gift certificates for Holiday meals how much are they getting and if I donate is it for the whole meal or a portion of the meal? Getting some ideas

Gina, the Holiday meal is up to you. You can get enough for the entire meal or just enough for a chicken or turkey. Whatever you put towards the holiday meal is on top of gifts for the members of the family. So if you adopt a family of two, then you'll get something for the two individuals and then you can get a gift certificate for a meal or part of a meal.

Did you know that the average cost of diapers per child is $100 per month? Parents are finding it more difficult these days to have an adequate supply of diapers for their children.

Suzie, a single-mom of two shared, "I give my child less to drink so I don't have to change her as much."

Programs such as WIC (Women, Infa...nt and Children - Food and Nutrition program) and Food Stamp do not cover the cost of diapers. There are no local agency or service that supports families with this need. The Diaper Bank used to donate diapers but they went bankrupt.

Through local store donations, WVCS have been able to provide diapers for families; however, these donations are not guaranteed which leaves our families without an adequate supply of diapers for their children.

Please help keep our children's "bottoms" safe by donating diapers today. All sizes are welcome but many families need sizes 3, 4, 5 and pull-ups.
