MC Whizzkid..... Who??
After fourteen years mcing across the
UK and abroad on a weekly basis,
adored by fans in their masses, you
may be surprised to hear that
Gordon, AKA MC Whizzkid still
wakes everyday and still has to check
he didn’t merely dream he was
voted two years running as:
‘Best Hardcore MC’
(at the Hardcore Heaven awards)
It is a far cry from
when he was sat around in a
bedroom with his close friends
practising spitting the three or four
rhymes he had just written,
as well as trying his hand at
the decks, with great success.
Now fourteen years on and Gordon, is
still sporting the same artist name he
picked up all those years ago, simply
from his mum thinking he was a
technical ‘Whizzkid’
A legend was born!
Continually pushing himself to excel in
all he does, from writing rhymes and
practising his energetic deliveries, to
co-producing absolute slammers of
tracks such as the awesome
“We are the Vampires”
In Whizzkid’s ambition and drive to
diversify, he has teamed up with long
term friends Alex (Stylus) & Eddy
(AudioJunkie) to create
the new record label
‘Broken Records’, which is
going from strength to strength.
Whilst most people know Whizzkid
from a hardcore background, his roots
are somewhat different, and as such
he is always striving to create new
sounds and styles for each and every
track he is involved with, from Hip-hop
to Hard House, as well as his beloved
hardcore, amongst others.
This multi award winning MC will never
forget his raving roots, so it comes as
no surprise it is important to
MC Whizzkid that
‘Broken Records’ is
a label that is proud to push the
boundaries and bring the ravers a
variety of tunes that are all
individual and unique in not only their
sound, but their delivery as well.
