Karen Sloan from the National Law Journal reports:
Faculty members at Widener University School of Law will have a new role to play next academic year: smoking police.

They
won't have matching uniforms or extensive training. They will be armed
with small cards that detail the school's impending ban on smoking or
using tob...acco products anywhere on campus, indoors and outdoors. If
that's not enough to keep people from lighting up on campus, repeat
offenders might be fined, said Linda L. Ammons, the law school's dean.

Widener University School of Law Michael Goldberg, a professor at Widener University
in Delaware who specializes in labor and employment law, likened the
situation to a sports team bringing in a new coach. Typically, a team
ends up having to pay both coaches for a while.

"If this went to litigation, the court would probably
award the superintendent the salary and benefits he would have earned
the rest of the contract," Goldberg said.
