Williamson County More than one ton of dog and cat food and hundreds of animal toys were donated to the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter from the office of Williamson County Justice of the Peace Judy Schier Hobbs, Precinct 4. Filled with the Christmas spirit of giving, the office voted to support the Williamson County Animal S...helter and set a goal to donate one ton of dog and cat food. When the group fell short, Judge Hobbs’ granddaughter Mackenzie Brown, age 9, emptied her piggy bank and donated several hundred pounds of dog food to meet the goal. In addition to the food, the group donated blankets, animal carriers, food dishes and at least a hundred toys. The group delivered the items to the shelter on December 9.

From November 23 to January 10, cat adoptions are $25 and dog adoptions are $50. The shelter will have adjusted hours for the holidays. They will close at 4 p.m. on...
