Weylin Proctor Just finished Fall of Thanes last night....finally. I totally dug it!

Winterbirth Garrett: there was a tentative inquiry about the movie rights quite a while ago, but it never came to anything. I'd be very surprised (to put it mildly) if the books ever got picked up for the movies, but that's fine: not something I'm going to lose any sleep over!

Garrett Kidd
I disagree with James, keep your writing exactly the way it is. The series wasn't meant to be a feel good series with laughs and jokes. It's meant to be dark and emotionally raw. How else can he describe what is happening to the world? Excellent job Brian.
By any chance, has anyone contacted you about movie rights? I am a huge fan of the LOTR series, books and movies, and I think your series honestly has the same potential. Looking forward to your response.

James Curran Yeah I was Starting to well up By the Letter at the end, great book but Seriously I know it would be difficult in a series as brutal and grim as this but please add some sort of vague humour to your next books, the serious lack of it was evident by fall of thanes. But Apart from that, Great book.

Justin Valbert Fall of Thanes was a great book and a fitting end to the series. The fighting scenes had me on the edge of my seat- Taram Narran vs. Shraeve. It was a bit of a bittersweet ending. The letter from Orisian to Anarya got me a little choked up. I can't wait to see what Mr. Ruckley will write next.

Eric As soon as I was able to get my hands on Fall of Thanes, I wasn't able to put it down! Great series, it's a shame it had to end... Is there any way we could find out what's next for Brian Ruckley?

FilmKnight Surprised to see my face on the cover! Now I'll have to read the series. -Richard

Winterbirth Our second signed book winner is confirmed, and the book's all set to be posted to the USA tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who's saying nice things about the trilogy here - good to see some satisfied customers! I should be able to share some news about what I'm writing next soonish, so stay tuned. And if anyone wants to BUY a signed copy of any of my books, don't forget this is the place to go: www.transreal.co.uk

Congrats to the winner. Since finishing the trilogy, am really looking forward to your next book(s)...

Jude: probably no more giveaways specifically for Fall of Thanes. I am toying with one or two fun ideas for future 'contests', but it'll be a little while before they roll out ...

James Dring What a thuroughly satisfying trilogy! I can't wait to see what you write next!

Sean Poor Orisian... Loved the story no matter all the sad and tragic events that took place.

James Dring Woohoo! my copy just came in today. Guess I know what i'm dashing out to do tomorrow morning before i work!

Winterbirth The winner of the first draw has been successfully contacted and has issued the necessary instructions for book signing: the appropriately scribbled-upon tome will be posted off this week (to a UK address, but I won't be more specific than that, since I haven't explicitly asked for permission to name winners, and without permission I prefer to err on the side of privacy). Good luck to everyone else for this Friday!

Caroline Toye Have just got Winterbirth and Bloodheir from Amazon (bless e-vouchers!) and am going to settle down tonight to start reading. I have had my eyes on these for a while now and won the vouchers at an opportune moment to start the series. Hmmmmm books!

Skip Przelomski South Florida Barnes & Noble Booksellers have FoT in oversize paperback (5/7/2009)

Andy Lee has just finished reading FoT and loved it, no spoilers though!
Winterbirth at 3:36am May 7
Quite right. Anyone dispensing spoilers will be summarily ... oh, I don't know ... summarily shouted at, perhaps?
Craig at 11:06am May 11
i hope it is finally available in Australia ,as i am hanging out to read what will happen in this awesome series .

Skip Przelomski Been patiently waiting for "Fall of Thanes" as I read the first 2 books last summer/Fall...will be checking Borders and Barnes & Noble!

James Dring Grrrr...my bookstore says they haven't got any shipments to this part of Canada yet. I'm chomping at the bit here!

Chia-Wen Kao Really enjoyed books 1 & 2--waiting for Fall of Thanes with bated breath. Thanks!

Jude Off to fetch BloodHeir tomorrow; hoping for an uncharacteristically lucky Friday to come...

Alexander Sergeevich Makarov Just finished the third book. Yet I still yearn for more... Great Job!

RECENT ACTIVITY

Winterbirth discussed Questions for Brian Ruckley on the Winterbirth discussion board.

George Verevkin I read the first two books about a year ago and recently found the last book. I re-read the series to keep the continuity I thought was so critical to this series. While I loved the book and I was totally into the story I will say only that I wish it could have ended differently. But that said, I have seen the real world version in modern times and understand that it doesn't always end the way we'd like. Still...good book.
