Winterbirth Just to add, re: the art on the Czech Winterbirth mentioned below, the artist is Kekai Kotaki, and there's lots more seriously dramatic fantasy art to admire at his website: http://www.kekaiart.com/. Stirring stuff.

I'm back from work away for the past 6 months....
Finally got my hands on my signed copy of FoT, thanks aload for that Brian!
But I have nearly forgotten all of the first two books, oh well what more of an excuse do I need to read them again....
Cheers again Brian

Enough of this Autumnal blogging inactivity. Got to take baby steps back into the habit for fear of straining my moribund blogging muscles, of course, so just a couple of quick notes to start with: Czech edition of Winterbirth emerges blinking (and perhaps even bawling?) into the world, under t...

Further worrying evidence for the progressive contamination of the internet with me-related material. First, I do the interview thang at Moon Drenched Fables. Second, I do the fantasy casting for the movie-of-the-book thang at My Book the Movie. Not something I actually gave any thought to whi...

As promised in the last post here, some brief details on the new book I'm writing. Yes, the fine folks at Orbit, in their infinite wisdom, seem to feel that the world could withstand further literary output by yours truly...

Not enough is my standard answer these days to people who ask what I've been reading lately. So much stuff to read, so little time...

Some minor stuff about me, me, me - specifically my recent adventures in short fiction - that's shown up on the web.First off, I answer some questions over at the Rogue Blades Entertainment site, partly relating to the story - 'Beyond the Reach of His Gods' - I've contributed to their Rage of the...

Andy Lee Great news on the new book Brian, I'm looking forward to it already, I hope it is as dark as Fall of Thanes.

Kevin Smead Absolutely fantastic, sir. Definitely a master of modern fantasy. This is not only one of the best debut series around, but simply one of the best trilogies of books around. Very, very pleased and would love to see it as a movie or some sort of other medium as well. But still, absolutely fantastic.

I read the first two books about a year ago and recently found the last book. I re-read the series to keep the continuity I thought was so critical to this series. While I loved the book and I was totally into the story I will say only that I wish it could have ended differently. But that said, I have seen the real wor...ld version in modern times and understand that it doesn't always end the way we'd like. Still...good book.Read More

Weylin Proctor Just finished Fall of Thanes last night....finally. I totally dug it!

Winterbirth Garrett: there was a tentative inquiry about the movie rights quite a while ago, but it never came to anything. I'd be very surprised (to put it mildly) if the books ever got picked up for the movies, but that's fine: not something I'm going to lose any

I disagree with James, keep your writing exactly the way it is. The series wasn't meant to be a feel good series with laughs and jokes. It's meant to be dark and emotionally raw. How else can he describe what is happening to the world? Excellent job Brian.
By any chance, has anyone contacted you about movie rights? I a...m a huge fan of the LOTR series, books and movies, and I think your series honestly has the same potential. Looking forward to your response.Read More
