WLFI, News Channel 18 SCAM ALERT: Several viewers reported getting calls today telling them they had won Wal-Mart gift cards and asking for credit card information. A manager at the West Lafayette Wal-Mart told WLFI the calls were not from their store, and are a scam.

WLFI, News Channel 18 Many have expressed alarm at a recent suggestion in a government report that women should wait until age 50 to receive annual mammograms, rather than beginning them at 40 as was previously recommended.

The report released by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force gave this advice, which flies in the face of previous advice promoted for years, that an annual mammogram was necessary after the age of 40.
