I celebrated with my favorite person in the whole wide world - my autistic son Reese!

Insurance carrier Coventry sent out a private memo to its brokers and lobbyists in the last few weeks saying, "The financial burden for dealing with autism shouldn't be forced onto those who are already struggling to pay for basic medical health insurance coverage." Jesus H. Christ, what's next??? Denial of benefits of those with cancer? HIV?

Please help keep the playing field even; it's either benefits for all, or benefits for none.

We wore our "2009 Walk for Autism shirts " and went to my son's favorite place, the planetarium.

I had a letter published in our local newspaper to help spread awareness about autism.

I bought buttons for my family to support our children with Autism and PDD NOs. I am excited to see all the love and support out there for families like ours!

Our son Chrispie has autism. He has taught our family so much. His love is so pure and his life is a gift. He is my treasure. I pray for strength and hope for all families who have been touched by autism. I am so proud of our son! He is amazing!

we made a specail sign to thank all our neighbors for their support!!!! Josh and Jere decorated it with puzzle pieces! VERY CUTE!

My daughter has AS and this was a great time for me to get the word out to everyone...thanks for being on on FB =).

I celebrate every week when I get to work with a child with Autism. I am glad Autism is being recognized and researched.

Hey, checked out the site. Very informative! Told Dalton maybe he and his friends should do the walk in October in Boston. They are all on the National Honor Society and do community service projects! He told me they are watching movies on Autism in school!

ALWAYS remenber a person is not to be referred to as a autistic person but a person who has autism.It is a disorder that can be helped but it is not a definition of a person.People who have autism are individuals and should always be treated as such, not lumped together in a bunch . I have never met any one who has disorder who is just alike another one.

Every day should be world Autism Awareness Day. I have three nephews that are autistic. Let's figure this out people!!!

I took information to my doctors office. There was not one thing in there about Autism.

snuggling my wonderful son and having a blast with my whole family out in the sun teaching them how to ride bikes and enjoying the weekend.Wish I knew this day was coming ahead of time. Would of done something 4 awareness.
