At least that means Royal Rumble and he'll be able to make Wrestlemania. Trying to have a glass half full approach here. So with Edge out. Hardy stalling with his contract. Taker out. Who will become SmackDown!'s top babyface? Chris Jericho is always money but he has worked so hard on his heel persona I am not sure a face turn for him would work right now. Morrison is becoming more and more over, but is he ready to carry the brand?

With Edge out, id suspect Vince may push Cena over to Smackdown, or have the returning Michaels turn up on Smackdown. While CM Punk has the belt, he can have his feud with Hardy, but they nned a strong support and Jericho deserves better than being pushed to the tag team division. Id suspect Jericho will have the show revolving around him over the summer

Not a thing wrong with running a show around Jericho IMO :-). HBK could come to SmackDown, but of course he doesn't want the title because he doesn't want the travel schedule, so I am not sure that would work. Maybe move Christian to SmackDown? He and Punk could put on real good programs IMO.

Crystal Lee Roth PWtorch.com reports the following information regarding Jeff Hardy's contract status:

WWE star Jeff Hardy says he has not decided whether to re-sign with WWE. Hardy claims he has not signed a contract renewal.

Hardy's current contract expires at the end of the month after he signed a contract in August 2006 to return to the company. He is scheduled for a World Title match at the Night of Champions PPV, which takes place on July 26. A decision will have to be made within the next few weeks.

Hardy was asked whether he's made a decision to continue wrestling for WWE during a recent interview with Spain's "Four Network" to promote WWE's European tour in November. Hardy said "I don't know."

"I am 31 years old now and I don't like making plans for the future," Hardy said. "I can wrestle until I am 40 but I don't want to make plans, I don't like thinking about what could happen between now and the next five years."

um hes nowhere the calibre of "wrestler" as CM Punk. He wont re-sign, hes holding out for more money. Selfish boy. WWE are screaming to put the belt on him, but they will not put it on anyone who is not under long term contract. Simple so the Jeff marks are in for sum major dissappointments

wasnt his ankle, was his achilles tendon. Looking at a year on the sidelines minimum. But id assume once he can walk half decent, look to see him in an on air roll, maybe Rwa GM. Put him behind a desk like Foley had in 2001 and he would be a super on air talent without having to enter a ring
