Yesterland

Yesterland has photos and stories about the Old Disneyland....before they added a giftshop to the exit of every ride. It's pretty great. I have ridden most of the retired rides; my dad was a big Disneyland fan and we went every summer starting just after it opened. It was not so slick and aggressively capitalistic in those days.

I second that emotion!! the tracks for the people mover are still there aren'tthey? (next to the momorail) that would be great, but then again everything Disney is great!

J. Michael, I would love to see some too. It was one of my favorite rides. I was really sad to hear they had torn it down.

Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure stopped selling McDonald's food over a year ago -- and that will be the subject of a future Yesterland article.

I was just at Disneyland a couple of weeks ago and I was looking for the McD fries. I was so disappointed when I couldn't find them where I remembered them being

I worked there when the cabin was forgotten and neglected. It still had the gas line connected. There are many items, like concrete footings from things that aren't there anymore. Maybe the Unfriendly Indians homes were there. There's also a concrete ledge near that cabin where something, maybe a coyote or some type of animal use to be. It's ... Read Morealso hidden from view. The Pack Mule trail is used by trucks and such and it leads to the back of Disneyland. Yes, Disneyland has changed but some "ghosts" from it's past remain.

Gotta love all the terrible puns! With the right skipper, this can be one of the best attractions of the park!

In the picture in front of the tradeing post, several people are wearing tennies, I didnt realize they had them in the mid 50's (Interesting)

It looks so weird to see the Trading post in the 50's without the shooting gallery there. Of course I was born in '84!

Cool! I love looking at picture of Disneyland in the 50s. Just like I remember it the first time I was there!

I loved Dineyland in the 60's and 70's! Things were simpler and the crowds were NOT like they are now.
