The Lockhearts - Ride Home

The Lockhearts release their new album 'Americana Doom Fuzz' worldwide on 13th April on Golden Robot Records.

Singles 'Ride Home' and 'Goddamn Pretty' were released in Australia at the end of last year, along with videos, but have now been released in Europe and they're a fabulous taster of what's to come from this cracking rock band, both tracks are available for airplay.

On the verge of releasing their long-awaited debut full-length album Americana Doom Fuzz, due to hit stores on Friday, 13 April, The Lockhearts are amped to announce they’ll be joining label mates and ex-pat Aussies, The Lazys, as they launch their album, Tropical Hazards, worldwide on 4 May, with a run of dates across Germany with shows also planned for Amsterdam and London.

Fronted by Tim Meaco (Vocals/guitar), with Jameel Majam (Bass), Samuel Sheumack (Guitar) and Steve “Woodie” Woodward (Drums), The Lockhearts formed in Sydney’s inner west over a shared love of Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty and hot sauce. They began crafting their signature bell-bottom swagger and delivering explosive performances over an 18-month residency, which began at Sydney’s Brighton Up Bar.

Between recording drums in the stairwell, blowing up vintage amplifiers and selective live tracking to capture the band’s onstage energy, their debut full length album, Americana Doom Fuzz harks back to a golden fertile era when studio exploration/experimentation was young, and embodies The Lockhearts “keep it loose, keep it tight” approach to moody, guitar-driven songwriting.

As they hit the ground running along Australia's East Coast, then joining The Lazys on the tour bus for an 8 day run from Stuttgart to London, The Lockhearts are about to really hit their straps and rein in a whole new bunch of fans.

The Lazys - Nothing But Trouble

The long wait is over (for those outside of Canada) with the release of The Lazys latest single, 'Nothing But Trouble' to the rest of the world, with pre-order for their new album, Tropical Hazards, also now available, out on 4 May via Golden Robot Records on digital, CD and vinyl.

At the same time, the band have announced their European tour dates in support of the album release with a run of 6 dates locked in across Germany kicking off in Stuttgart on May 29 and finishing in Frankfurt five days later, plus shows in Amsterdam and London in early June.

Tropical Hazards is a high-octane, hell-raising rock ‘n roll riot, written in Canada where the band now resides, and Australia (where they’re originally from) throughout 2017 with Ian D’Sa (Billy Talent) and produced by D’Sa and Eric Ratz (Big Wreck, Danko Jones, Monster Truck). It resulted in a 10-track album that’s unabashedly outrageous, packed with classic songs about wild nights, pretty girls, heartbreak, and resilience, and picking up where The Lazys left off in 2015 with their Top 10 Canadian singles, Shake It Like You Mean It and Black Rebel, with the first single from Tropical Hazards, Nothing But Trouble currently sitting at #13 and on the rise.

Elemae - Hospital & Mazes

Five years after Elemae came to a natural end of the line, Engineer Records is proud to bring you the brand new swan song of an EP entitled Tilling The Fallow. This isn't meant for nostalgia though. Here is a set of new songs which stand high on their own platform, speaking out for a group of individuals with intrinsic chemistry that reconnected, however brief, to do what they do naturally together. Never quite comfortably definable... by genre specifics, these men of rural New Jersey know how to craft a tune in the classic sense. Soul churning melodies with dynamics upon dynamics of character instilled within thought-provoking songs. In fact, at just 5 tracks, Tilling The Fallow plays like a mini-album of sorts, in the way its ebb and flow leads you from song to song effortlessly, as it rolls out to it's end. Though the band has navigated a musical path through two full-length albums, a split EP, plenty of compilation appearances and a 7" record, it's trite yet accurate to say, we believe these songs are their most focused and resilient yet.

BONFIRE release their new album 'Temple Of Lies' on 13th April on AFM Records

Few German rock acts can look back at as long and successful a career as Bonfire. Counting their predecessor – a group called Cacumen, which was also founded by Hans Ziller and featured more or less the same line-up – the band has been around since 1972, has operated under its current moniker since 1986 and released more than two dozen albums. During the most successful phase of their career, Bonfire counted – alongside the Scorpions and Accept – among Germany’s three internationally most acclaimed acts, celebrating major success all over Europe and worldwide. Bonfire’s trademarks are and have always been deeply melodic hard rock songs, driven by captivating guitars, grooving rhythms and haunting vocal melodies. All the features that came together so perfectly on their most popular releases Fireworks (1987), Point Blank (1989) and Branded (2011) are present on their current release Temple Of Lies. Thanks to their new vocalist Alexx Stahl, who joined the fold two years ago, and a first-rate line-up on all instruments, the band’s creativity explodes on Temple Of Lies and is bound to wow a younger generation of rock music fans, too.

“We were extremely lucky to find Alexx,” offers guitarist Hans Ziller in explanation of the group’s current creative and musical high. “He’s a team player who looks after his voice in a totally professional way and treats it like the important tool that it is. He doesn’t smoke and prepares optimally for every show. In addition, Alexx is a really nice guy. Being at the helm of the band, I couldn’t be happier to have him in the band.” Ziller is just as enthusiastic about his rhythm section consisting of bassist Ronnie Parkes and drummer Tim Breideband (“they seem to have reinvented the groove”), and of course guitarist Frank Pané (“one of the most awesome musicians I’ve ever worked with”). Ziller: “With this line-up, we’ll be able to increase the hardness level of our material whenever we feel like it. Numbers such as ‘Temple Of Lies’ and ‘Stand Or Fall’ wouldn’t have been possible with previous line-ups.”

Schattenmann - Licht An

Something is stirring in the shadows. Something is crawling to the surface: Schattenmann are here! Formed in the dying days of 2016, already now aiming for greater things: This young band from Nuremberg knows exactly what they want and how they are about to achieve it. “Neue Deutsche Härte 2.0”, thus the simple yet effective definition of the monumental sound woven by vocalist Frank Herzig, guitarist Jan Suk, bass player Luke Shook and... drummer Nils Kinzig. They are fed by NDH, by Industrial and by Metal, infected by melodic hooklines rather unusual for this genre and possessed by one burning wish: To exorcise every single one of their inner demons.
Schattenmann stands for the very special parts within us, we prefer to keep hidden. Parts, however, that sometimes want to be unleashed, that are yearning for freedom, that want to be lived out to the fullest. “We sing about things that keep us in suspense”, says front man Frank. “We want to unearth the things hiding deep within us.”

On their debut “Licht an”, songs like the explosive 'Brennendes Eis', the highly emotional 'Gekentert', the iconic and anthemic 'Licht an' or the provocative 'Generation Sex' are displaying the immense potential of a band just about to start. “We’re more than ready to give everything we have for Schattenmann”, a determined Frank Herzig declares – and the past months give proof enough to underline the ambitious vision of this band. Lots of concerts, an exclusive and sold-out tour EP and, of course, their debut “Licht an” are all essential pillars in a career about to take off.

Their first record is a step into a musical world that is at the same time seducing and disturbing. "Schattenmann stand for an enigmatic, inexorable journey between light and darkness”, sums up Frank, whose distinct voice is lending the band its unique character.

Gus G - Letting Go

Highly acclaimed guitarist GUS G. is set to release his new album, titled “Fearless”, on April 20th. “Fearless” is the successor to 2015’s 'Brand New Revolution' and marks the Firewind mastermind’s first release since exiting Ozzy Osbourne’s band in 2017.

On 'Fearless' Gus joins forces with vocalist/bassist Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69/Unisonic) and drummer Will Hunt (Evanescence, Black Label Society).
“Dennis and I have collaborated very closely for a number years, he produced the current Firewind album Immortals, among other things. We’re on the same musical wavelength and simply continued our cooperation after the Firewind production,” Gus describes his relationship with the multitalented German-American. “I sent him demos of and ideas for my new songs and once we had enough material and started to think about vocalists, Dennis suggested recording the album as a trio. A lot of people don’t realise that Dennis is not only a brilliant songwriter, bassist and producer but also an excellent singer. I immediately liked his suggestion because this would be very different from everything else I’ve done before.” It was only a short step from the enlistment of drummer Will Hunt. Gus: “Will was at the very top of my wish list. Fate smiled on me because we played at the Frankfurt music fair 2017 during my tour with Steve Stevens, and Will stayed at the same hotel. So I approached him, we talked for a while and he agreed. Last August he came to the studio and recorded the drum parts for the whole album within two and a half days. A real pro with a great groove and an awesome punch.”
