Senator Grassley hasn’t missed a year of going to the Iowa State Fair since 1974. He spoke with Cynthia Fodor and Steve Karlin of KCCI about what he likes to do at the fair and the American farmer.

“I particularly have pride in what we do with modernization of agriculture and how fewer people are producing more food,” Senator Grassley said. “We have two percent of the people in this country producing for the other 98 percent, and food in this country is cheaper with the percentage of disposable income than any other consumer anywhere else in the world enjoys. It’s because of the ingenuity of the American farmer.”
