La ville de Austin, au Texas, a rendu obligatoire les congés de maladie payés. Tout le monde qui travaille à Austin aura droit à une heure de congé de maladie payé par 30 heures travaillées, pour un maximum de 64 heures (8 jours). Pour les entreprises de 15 employés-ées et moins, le maximum sera de 48 heures (6 jours).

Au Québec, le Code du travail ne garantit, encore à ce jour, aucun congé de maladie payé.

The City of Austin, Texas, made mandatory sick leave. Everyone who works in Austin will be entitled to an hour of sick leave paid by 30 hours worked, for a maximum of 64 hours (8 days).
