Who would have ever imagined that we would ever u…tter that phrase in 2020? But here we are -- awaiting the outcome of the most critical election of our lifetimes with the President of the United States questioning the integrity of our elections. In one state he wants every vote counted, in others he wants the counting halted. The only part of this whole process that lacks integrity is the President himself.
Elections are the lifeblood of our democracy and every vote is important -- Democrat and Republican alike. Without free and fair elections that include a comprehensive and transparent counting process, the US joins a long list of nations in which freedom and democracy are concepts which receive little more than ironic lip service and a tongue-in-cheek mention in Wikipedia.
