Nearly half of the 75 biggest IPOs of the last three years involved companies that lacked female directors when they went public. New research by 2020 Women on Boards found that a meager 9.4% of board seats were held by women at these IPO companies, compared to the national average of 19.7%. We must correct this oversight by holding IPO companies and underwriters accountable.
