I just read the story of Raven Osbourne, and then read the website of her school. 21st Century Char...ter has exactly the philosophy all educational institutions of America should have: high expectations and the freedom to truly excel. Impressive. Trapping students because of their age is ridiculous. Let them run as fast as they can in their learning and take their place as adults in this world.
I sincerely hope this model spreads. God knows We need it.

I am a parent of 5 and only have 1 left in this school. I have passed my other 4 through this school.... Like any other schools 21st Century Charter School @Gary has its ups and down, but we are and I do say WE are a family that promotes excellence amongst all the students here. It is a great place to learn and prepare for college. See More
So, I met a group of lovely students on college tour last week. They were so well mannered and poise...d that I walked over to their group leader just to extend the compliment. With gratitude, he informed me that this amazing girl, Raven Osborne, was their classmate! He also pointed out more students who are following in her footsteps. Already, they've earned associates degrees as juniors! Super duper awesome! Congratulations to you Raven, 21st Century Charter School and Purdue University Scholar, on a job well done! We are so proud of you!
