We are heartbroken by the events in Orlando and the deliberate targeting of the gay community. We extend our solidarity, support, and our deepest sympathies. We live in a world where there are large numbers of people who are weaned on a steady diet of hate that is spoon fed by institutions which exist to poison people’s minds. We are not naïve and we know there are many others who seek to do harm, but we all must show that we are stronger. If we are sil...enced or afraid to publicly express ourselves and be who we are, then fear rules the day. The gay community has been an inspiration to Satanists, atheists, and many other marginalized groups by their capacity to unite and successfully demand respect in the face of overwhelming oppression. Because of the recent violence, it is more important than ever to attend upcoming pride events and be counted to show that the numbers of people in the LGBTQ community along with their supporters will grow exponentially at every effort to keep us down.
