Barely 24 hours after a fuel tanker claimed nine lives in Lagos-Ibadan expressway , another fuel tanker along Minna-Suleja road on Friday collided with a truck and went aflame. It was gathered that firefighters were on the scene, attempting to put out the fire. No fewer than nine persons lost their lives on Thursday after a tanker exploded on Otedola Bridge in Lagos. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in a statement on its official Twitter handle also confirmed that 54 vehicles were burnt to ashes in the incident.

Apple Inc and Samsung Electronics Co Ltd on Wednesday settled a seven-year patent dispute over Apple’s allegations that Samsung violated its patents by slavishly copying the design of the iPhone. Terms of the settlement, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, were not available. Four people were killed on Thursday in a shooting at a local newspaper building in Maryland, a senior federal law enforcement source said. One suspect is in custody. Suspected herdsmen on Wednesday attacked Bare village in the Numan Local Government of Adamawa State, killing two people and inflicting 29 others with various degrees of injury. Facebook Inc on Tuesday decided to allow certain ads promoting cryptocurrency and related content from pre-approved advertisers, but would continue its ban on those tied to binary options and initial coin offerings. Facebook had in January banned ads that promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices. “We will listen to feedback, look at how well this policy works and continue to study this technology so that, if necessary, we can revise it over time,” Facebook’s product management director, Rob Leathern, said in a blog.
