I like this place, I go here almost every night, the place is big and the staff are nice ppl who actually clean up the place, it pack during the day of course, I’m glad I’m a night person, the gym isn...’t pack at night, and there are a lot of Asian and white people who actually go at night, very diverse. Smh 🤦‍♂️ it’s understandable that the bathroom floor is wet and the urinal smell like piss, because who actually have the time to clean the bathroom evertime since the place is so busy. Your not gonna stay in the bathroom 24/7 anyway. Your there to work out. See More

The place has overly crowded at all times of the day. It is beyond filthy and dirty. I was surprised to see maintenance staff actually fixing equipment recently. I am tired of always having to wait fo...r a squat rack or walk around the weight room looking for weights or dumbells. The only reason I come here is because my membership is cheap and it is close to my house. I guess you get what you pay for. See More

I'm surprised this location isn't a supersport. It has a pool, basketball court, plenty of machines and space compared to the other East Bay locations. I'm guessing it's because of the demographics of... the people who live in this area. Only complain is that they should really change the interior lights. It's too dim and if they were brighter, I'm sure it would have a drastic change in the workout environment for members. Really - think about it... See More

I like the Body Pump class, Leslie is my favorite teacher. It's full body workout in 1 hour! Even the strongest looking folks are challenged. I tried Body Combat for the first time and I was dripping ...sweat after 10 minutes, I will be going back next week. You won't be disappointed! See More

Not as filthy as the one on Webster, this 24 Hour Fitness is in the 'hood. The guy next to you might be just out of county jail. The ellipticals are old and it's hard to get on equipment when it's bus...y. The staff doesn't do much to keep the place organized, weights are scattered everywhere. No separate shower stalls, just like in prison. Don't drop the soap! All in all, an average 24 Hour Fitness, worth what you pay for it - not very much. See More

In my opinion this is the dirtiest 24hr fitness I've ever been to, no one re-racks their weights you have to walk the entire floor to find what you want and the bathrooms are foul. The staff could do ...a better job of making sure the equipment is put away. Otherwise the staff was friendly (probably the only good thing about this gym) See More

This is where I'm getting my body right so I love it. Only thing is that the cleanup crew has to do better at keeping the bathrooms clean.

There is a blatant ethnic double standard at this location. On several occasions I have been in this gym where there are children of Hispanic origin and well under the age of 12 in the pool, in the J...acuzzi, running around in the steam room, in the gym etc. and it's always the same response "we don't know how they got in there, but we'll take care of it". On three separate occasions I have brought my grandchildren to work out with me all of whom are over 14 years of age And it's always the same response "they are not old enough". but on this particular Occasion, today, June 26, 2017 at 3:30 pm, I came in with my 16-year-old grandson so he could play a little basketball while I worked out. So as I'm preparing to register him as a guest they asked me for some ID for him and I look at them and I'm like really he's 16 (not to mention he's 6 feet tall with full on facial hair ) he doesn't have a school ID with him it's the summer... The attendant calls the manager the manager comes over and says the same thing to me... now I'm pissed. I drive all the way back home where I proceed to look at the policies on the 24 hour fitness corporate website and wouldn't you know it!!nowhere on the entire website does it say that a minor accompanied by a member in good standing has to show identification. So I promptly canceled my membership. I have filed an official complaint against this 24 Hour Fitness for what I feel is discrimination and I fully intend on pursuing the matter. This has to stop See More

Not the best option, but all of the Super Sport Locations are too far from me, which is a difficult commute after work...although I live closer to the downtown location this is the next best option!

I like that it is 24/7 when others are not. Equipment, such as handles on elipticals, are falling apart. I have not gone through the whole gym.....but you don't want me doing that. I audit facilities part of my job. See More

Showed up for a 9am Zumba class. It was packed and I hadn't paid a $1 for a reservation. Waited outside the class until all of the reservation folks and waitlist folks went inside. Asked if there was ...more space. There was. Despite the fact that the clearly viewable Group X policy states "Reserved Spaces will be guaranteed until class starts, at which time the space will be forfeited to anyone on the wait list", was made to wait 15 minutes into class to be let in. Staff obviously doesn't understand the policy that they're supposed to enforce and basically argued 'wouldn't I be upset if I paid and then didn't get in?'. Uh no, since I was late and the policy clearly states what happens if you're late. Felt like they were more interested in not having to deal with someone who had paid and was late, than someone who wanted to be there on time, but hadn't paid. See More

I have a love hate relationship with this place. The love is for the friendly staff and a good location right off the 880 on my way home from work. And of course it's 24 hours.
But it's really only g...ood for cardio, machines, and body weight exercises. The free weights are an absolute mess. Can hardly ever find a matching weight to count on doing any real work. Weights are literally strewn all over the gym and left wherever they were last used. It's so strange to me as a big guy because I'm used to the lifters policing this themselves. But here, some of the biggest lifters are just as lazy about racking weights. I'm not a clean freak and actually like working out in a dark gym with old weights, but this isn't that. It's dirty and lazy and not the energy you want out of a gym. Lifting should be all about improving yourself and winning the struggle against lazy.
Add to it that the men's locker room is often flat out gross. I've found used condoms on the urinals, and I tend to get off work about 10pm so I'm rolling in around the time they're spraying the floors down, so it's a balancing act trying to get changed without ruining my uniform. Now, I'd rather change at the McDonald's bathroom if it's open or find a private parking area to change at the car it's been that bad.

So what should be a 4 star is a two. But all that said, I know I can always grab some cardio and get a good stretch in after work no matter how late I get off - so I like that it exists. It just annoys me that I pay the same money as the people across the hills in San Ramon and Walnut Creek, but get a lot worse facility. Oakland downtown where I live isn't a whole lot better.

One thing I have to say- if we all did a little bit more than our part to rack weights and wipe stuff down and not be slobs, this place would be great. We as customers have a role. It ain't like anyone is ever cleaning up after me no matter where I'm working out. That's part of the workout and has to be.

So why 2 stars ? I'm giving you a 2 start just for the friendly staff and location of the gym w alot of parking. But other than that You deserve 0 stars. With all the money we members pay I'm sure you... guy can hire a good cleaning crew or train the one you already have ( which by the way are awesome people ) but need a bit cleaning training. Your showers are so dirty and smell so much like mildew (don't ask me how I can smell mildew..but I do) and they stink sooo BAD that I now carry my Own cleaning supplies to spray the shower walls and floor every time I use them See More

Toilets more often then not dirty and stools peed on.I asked several times that the management address this issue with no results, not even a polite sign asking the women to stop peeing on the seats o...r a least clean it after you do. music so loud it was hard to hear my music, no sanitizer and towel for machines, people get sweaty, the steam room never hot enough and always crowded with people deliberately opening door to make it steam, open rude and disrespectful comments from some of the customers to employees when asked to follow the rules ( on several occasions) and then a little scary when the security guard outside is on his phone in the back of the parking lot, I went to another gym with the same and better things then 24 hour fitness offers and only a little more expensive, See More

I have been a memeber of this gym before it opened. I signed up for my membership in a portable where the McDonald's is now located.

They say when people are happy about something they tell one pers...on and when they are upset they tell everyone. Well I am very pleased with the gym and hope no one else comes because this gem (pun intended) will not be as crowed as it is.

The reason for the complaints is people are using the facility like mad (I went yesterday at 6 in the morning and it was full as if it were the morning).

But here are my complaints:

1) They have an incredibly knowledgable trainer: Liam. Do not go to him unless you want a trainer who knows his stuff and is willing to share and cares about you and his job (where did they get this dude). Because of Liam I am sure I am adding years back on my life.

2) Parking: its free and available. I hate that I do not have to walk that far. Also, if you leave items visible you will get a friendly not by their patrol person reminding you to leave items out of site. I do not like the note so 90% of the time I just clear my seats, but when I do not, it does not fell- little note on the windshield (and a few times the patrol person caught me right there and asked me to put my stuff in the trunk).

3. The nerve of 24 Hour Fitness to close the swimming area to clean it or when someone (a memeber) misused it as a restroom or garbage can). Putting peoples health above all.

Well I too could go on but you get the point...go see for yourself. They handout 3 day passes like candy. I am sure it is not for everybody, but you will see it is for a number of bodies.

Live well!

It's a huge warehouse-sized gym. There's no towel service, as far as I know, but there are tons of cardio machines, free weights, a basketball court, and a pool. I've never had to wait for a treadmil...l, and usually haven't had to wait to get barbells and dumbbells I wanted to use. The men's locker room is kept in decent shape and reasonably clean. I mean, it's a 24 Hour Fitness that gets heavy use, so it may not be perfect 100% of the time, but it's cleaner than some gyms I've used, both in and out of the 24 Hour Fitness chain.

There's a huge parking lot, shared with Home Depot, a McDonald's, and maybe something else, but it's truly huge so parking is not a problem. Just watch out for the speed bumps on the way in and out- they're no joke - they will whack your suspension if you're going faster than about 3 miles per hour...

This place is disgusting! Like flat out gross. The entire gym is dark as if the power went out and the floodlights are on. Minimal machines on the floor, half of the free weights are completely MIA an...d there are no fans to blow around the damp basement like sweaty air from the gym. I could go on and on but for the sake of time. DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT sign up to be a memeber at this gym if you are looking for a nice gym. See More
