Once upon a time, these were our two school board candidates. Look at them now: both running for Supervisor and killing it!
Tonight’s fundraiser was beautiful. I want to thank my School Board colleagues: President Hydra Mendoza-McDonnell, Vice President Stevon Cook, Rachel Norton and... Mark Sanchez and our former colleague and current Supervisor, Sandra Fewer! It is truly humbling to be supported by our colleagues in this work. Thank you to UESF and everyone who came out to support Matt and Me tonight. We will not let you down!
We're especially proud to work with David Chiu on days like today. He's at the U.S. Supreme Court today, fighting to make sure women nationwide have access to their reproductive freedom.
One of our candidates endorsing another. We love it!
I have some exciting news!
Please see the email below sent out by California State Assemblymember David Chiu announcing his support of my District 10 Supervisor... Candidacy:
As a District 10 resident, I have an announcement: I’m supporting Shamann Walton to be the next Supervisor for our southeast neighborhoods.
As former President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, I know how much we need Supervisors who are motivated, selfless, and who seek creative solutions to the most significant problems facing San Franciscans. That is Shamann.
Shamann is ready to represent the residents of District 10 in City Hall. He has the experience, knowledge, and drive to make things happen.
Shamann’s first priority will be to make our City an easier place for everyone to live. He has been a longtime leader on critical issues like improving our education system, dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline, and creating opportunities for economic development.
I look forward to seeing what Shamann does as Supervisor to move our city forward.
Assemblymember David Chiu
Please join me in supporting him!
We're proud of the students in San Francisco and around the country who are taking a stand today for safer schools.
And it gives us great joy to work with candidates like Shamann Walton.
Today our students in SFUSD decided to stand in solidarity (in the rain) with students from Parkland and all victims of mass shootings and gun violence, by cond...ucting a peaceful protest pushing for gun control. Our students are fed up with non-action and are leading a movement that is leading to change. Corporations are already increasing minimum ages for gun purchases and banning certain weapons (all because of youth voice), but that is not enough! Join our students as they fight for peace and safety for all!
It's official - I'm in! This morning I submitted my declaration of candidacy to the Alameda County and Contra Costa County Registrars of Voters, meaning that my... name will appear on the ballot as a candidate for State Assembly in #AD15 for the June 5th Primary Election. I'm so proud to be one of the record number of women running for office in 2018, and I'm so excited to work with all of you to get elected! We have a lot of work to do between now and Election Day -- please join us on this journey by emailing email@example.com! #TeamBuffy
