The 2019 Update to the Contra Costa County Community Wildfire Protec...tion Plan is ready for your review and input. Comments ‪due by November 15, 2019‬. Download the plan at ‪http://www.diablofiresafe.org/…/2019-Dr… Everyone needs to prepare for wildfires. Help update the community wildfire protection plan for Contra Costa County. We want your input on wildfire risks and hazards. Share your concerns and local knowledge. Give us your opinion on recommended strategies to reduce risks. A Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) is a collaboratively developed plan that identifies wildland fire hazards, prioritizes ways to reduce those hazards and recommends measures for homeowners and communities to reduce ignitability of structures. The Diablo Fire Safe Council is working with local fire departments, agencies, homeowner groups and others to update the existing Contra Costa County CWPP. For more on the process see ‪http://www.diablofiresafe.org/cococo_CW… You can still participate in our survey at ‪http://bit.ly/2019CoCoCoCWPPUpdate‬ For more information contact Cheryl Miller, ‪(510) 282-1265‬ or email ‪DFSCMiller@comcast.net‬<‪mailto:DFSCMiller@comcast.net‬> ~454 See More
