The most important thing is that news organizations are really clear about what who and what their audiences are or could be and so you know we talk about target audiences or potential target audiences and then they do some fact funding with the audience. They already have to figure out who are these people so it may be structuring some focus groups with some of your core audience. People are actually saying. Hey, do you wanna have a conversation with us and we'd like to learn more about you? Maybe doing an audience survey to try to figure out you know. Demographic groups make up your audience who's missing where their gaps and then being really clear and setting goals for reaching new audiences and engaging with them going out again and may require doing things like interviews and focus groups and again. these are things journalists know how to do and so they use those skills but to actually go out into communities where you're wanting to be engaging in, you're wanting to be able to produce information for them and ask how would you like to get this news and information? What do you wanna know what's missing? Daily News diet and then working to make sure that you're creating both the content and the engagement practices and platforms in the distribution methods to really get to those audiences. so it's it's not so much different than reporting really. It's just thinking about it in a new way I think.
