🚩 CORONAVIRUS COMMUNITY SUPPORT ANNOUNCEMENT 🚩
As the need for coronavirus community support in Lancaster & Morecambe has dropped, we have decided to wind down this network with a view to reopening it should the need arise again.
Thank you so much to all our volunteers for all the work you've done through ACORN coronavirus community support. You have really made a huge difference in your communities and in some cases provided lifesaving support. 🙏
Together we've helped hundr...eds of households across Lancaster & Morecambe. 💪
Although the government has extended the eviction ban until September 20th, this simply kicks the can down the road for renters facing eviction. We are still expecting a big wave of evictions and a spike in homelessness. We are therefore concentrating our resources now on tackling this situation, which is such a threat to our communities.
To get involved and protect yourself, your neighbours and your community from evictions you can join our Community Protection Whatsapp here 👇

If you know of anyone who still needs support due to coronavirus shielding/isolating, please refer them to the council services which can be found on this webpage 👇

And the Lancaster District Support Line is still providing help with food and prescription deliveries: 01524 582000.
Once again, thank you all so much for volunteering ✊
Stay safe. Solidarity! 🚩
