Your Sorority is the example of what I feel a military organization should be. Focusing on the real issues which is military communities. There is nothing wrong with having fun but we must not lose ...focus on why we are here! You have that vision and I salute you! See More

It's a blessing to see the number of women who have taken to our cause. It's more than three Greek letters - it's about a life-long bond called Sisterhood.

January 1, 2014 marked the birth of a Diamond. Five women came together to collectively give life to Alpha Gamma Xi Sorority, Inc. Like any Diamond, they have been tested through and through. Pressurized to a capacity of combustion.

And then there were FOUR. The Four Gladiators continue to strive and move forward. This has not been an easy test. There have been joyous times and times of tears. Yet the pressure continued to mount and the Four Gladiators continued to pres...s on.

We press on not because it's easy but because the spirit of the sacrifice is worth it. For we are ALPHA GAMMA XI!

If it were easy there would be no Alpha Line of AGXi.

If it were easy there would be no Beta B.E.L.L.E.S. of AGXi.

If it were easy there would be no Gamma Chapter of AGXi.

If it were easy there would be no Matriarch Wyatt, no Matriarch Campbell, no Matriarch Gordon or no Matriarch Boothe!

Today we honor and shine Bright because it is FOUNDER's DAY!

Today we Shine Bright because we celebrate the struggles and the strides.

So stand with us in Solidarity and Shine Bright for today, JANUARY 1, 2018 marks the beginning of THE YEAR OF THE DIAMONDS!

Pentagon: Transgender people can join military based on their 'preferred' sex

For the first time, the Pentagon has outlined specific details about how transgender individuals will be processed into the military, allowing them to join according to their "preferred" gender, rather than their sex at birth.

A Department of Defense memo dated December 8, 2017, explains that if an applicant's preferred gender is different than their birth sex, they may present a birth certificate, ...court order or passport indicating their preferred sex and will be processed into the military under that gender.

Room assignments, height and weight standards, medical exams, underwear requirements, and bathroom assignments will be determined based on the "preferred" gender, even when the individual retains "the anatomical characteristics of their birth sex," the memo says.

Happy Birthday National Guard!!

We recognize December 13th as the birthday of the National Guard. On this date in 1636, the first militia regiments in North America were organized in Massachusetts. Based upon an order of the Massachusetts Bay Colony's General Court, the colony's militia was organized into three permanent regiments to better defend the colony.

Today, the descendants of these first regiments - the 181st Infantry, the 182nd Infantry, the 101st Field Artillery, ...and the 101st Engineer Battalion of the Massachusetts Army National Guard – share the distinction of being the oldest units in the U.S. military.

December 13, 1636, thus marks the beginning of the organized militia, and the birth of the National Guard's oldest organized units is symbolic of the founding of all the state, territory, and District of Columbia militias that collectively make up today's National Guard.
