IN THE WORLD OF POPULAR MUSIC - 60's and early 70's solo, female rock and pop singers like Linda Ronstadt, Cher, Dionne Warwick, Carole King, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Grace Slick, Carly Simon, Karen Carpenter, Janice Joplin, and many more had paved the way for the late 70's, 80's and 90's generation of female artists, like Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Debbie Harry (Blondie), Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Whitney Houston, Paula A...bdul, Sheena Easton, and so many more. Plus many R & B and Motown Soul singers the likes of Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight and Diana Ross, just to name a few. Also Country or Cross-over female artists like Dolly Pardon and Emmylou Harris. - Many of these talented ladies are still performing or recording today after a 50+ year career. - As a life-long musician and producer, my admiration goes out to those artists like Julie C. Myers, who can emulate Stevie Nicks with her "Nearly Nicks" tribute, and "A Little Ronstadt". Plus Julie also has her own style, and a new country album release; "Rock On - Fearless Journey". Thus, keeping the true legends of top female vocalists alive and memorable. All the while, creating brand new music for her many fans to appreciate.
