First and last time shopping with this company. I had purchased a inflatable
water slide for my 3 year old. Only used it twice and one of the seems in the foot hole came apart on the inside. Packaged ...it back in the box and brought it back to this store 4 days later with receipt in hand. The manager refused to refund it or let us swap it for another one. I was told they DO NOT refund or exchange anything they sell in the store even with a receipt and I had to contact the company that made the item and go through their steps to get it replaced. Then she had the nerve to ask me if my son was over the weight limit for the product. How many 3 year old's are over 100 lbs? So I called corporate after reviewing the return policy and couldn't get through. Called to get the name of the manager over this store and another number for corporate to make sure I had the right one. Well I got transferre d to the manager I dealt with and she told me she would only refund or exchange it one time only. Never again will I deal with this. I'll stick to shopping at Walmart or toys r us. At least they honor their return policy.
The price match policy was finally adhered to but it wasn't a pleasant experience
. The manager tried to find every way she could not to price match my items and then said could only price match one it...em. They finally called someone else who made them comply and price match both of my items. Sheez, can't you smile and make your customers feel like you're trying to help them instead of just the opposite. that manager needs to be fired
I just left this store completely
in awe of the rudeness and lack of profession alism I experience d. First, I go in to exchange a yeti cooler I did not buy (my brother bought it) for the same one in a ...different color. I tell the guy at the front and, he seems a little out of it honestly. He had no personable skills. I go and get the new cooler from the back. The same guy from earlier says to go to the customer service and the girl would do the exchange for me. Without my knowledge (she didn't confirm if I was exchanging or returning the white cooler), she returns it. Keep in mind I don't have the credit card with me because I didn't buy it. She gave me so much attitude when I told her that I was exchanging the white cooler that was behind her for the one in front of her. She didn't even get the receipt out of the white cooler so I have no idea what item she was returning. The point is if she would've apologized and said when you have the card come back and purchase the cooler you want, I wouldn't be so upset. Needless to say, I probably won't do business with these people ever again.
My family & I just left the store. The greeter was a lively/
very welcoming woman, (Thank you). However, our cashier was so rude and straight rushed us out. Also, the young lady tending to the fitting ...room was sitting on the floor, behind the counter, on her phone. And mind you we drove 120 miles, round trip, just to shop here. Very disappoint ed.
If the tag for an item says one thing, and the tag on the shelf says another, it's not the customer's
fault that the tag didn't get updated. If the tag on a hat says $24.98 but the tag on the shelf s...ays $4.98 (and the barcodes on both are identical) then why shouldn't I get the lower price? The manager at the Valdosta store on 2 April 2017 said she'd give me a 10% discount. That's not acceptable . Even the gentleman that was helping me out before he asked the manager for assistance agreed with me. If you don't want this sort of thing to happen, please make sure your barcodes / shelves are updated accordingly. As previously mentioned, it's not the customer's fault.
I was at the Valdosta store on 4/8/
2016. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, however when I tried to purchase a treadmill, I was told it wasn`t in the store, that was ok because I was then told it... could be ordered and shipped to my home. A few minutes later I was told that I couldn`t order it because the warehouse was out, and it had to come from the factory, and they had no idea how long that would take. I told them that`s ok, I`ll take this other one, only it was the same as the last one. I said their on display in the store for customers to see, if a customer is told they can`t purchase them or order them, that they are just not available, then remove them from the floor on display. This is very poor management . I left the store and drove to Sears in the Valdosta mall, where I purchased a new treadmill. Sorry Academy Sports, but you lost a $600 dollar sale and a customer today.
Academy Sports has lots to choose from and reasonable
prices. The sales people are very courteous and knowledgea ble. I spoke to a sales associate about Black Powder shooting and met a Michael Bolen ...who took great care to assist me and even educate me on parts I was totally unfamiliar with. Thank you very much Michael, I will return to Academy for the services they offer.
