Tonight, members of our Acadian family will be promoting the importance of safe driving through Choices 2014, presented by Acadia Parish, which will be airing on KLFY 10 Acadiana's Multi-Media News News at 6:30 p.m. Choices 2014 is a program designed to illustrate the tragic circumstances that happen when young adults drive distracted, whether it's from using a cell phone or from being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Danette Bruce, a medical instructor for our sister company Safety Management Systems and a former Acadian Ambulance medic, has participated in the educational program for many years. “We are all responsible for the choices we make,” said Danette. “Driving while impaired can change your life and the lives of others in a matter of seconds. We hope this program continues to bring awareness to everyone, young and old, of the importance of saying no to driving under the influence.”
