Just finished: Petty Morals at Far From The Tree Cider last Friday at Petty Morals Unplugged + Cider Release! A fantastic acoustic set by a great band at my favourite cider place. What more could one ask for? Some highlights here, many more over on flickr: https://www.flickr.com/ph…/askani97/albums/72157668406464138
Before the boys of These Wild Plains headed out on tour, I got the opportunity to take some band photos. Excited to see them hit the road *and* use my work!
Just finished: I have had the pleasure and honor of photographing Katie West's many extravagant Katiepalooza events over the years. Eventually, she found this great guy, Chris Dixon, so they upgraded the name to Weddingpalooza, which, today is the anniversary of that amazing day!
Now, despite not being on facebook any more, I've been given permission to share the latest photos I've been fortunate enough to photograph for them in the 'palooza series:
If you know how to get ahold of these crazy kids, send them all the love you can!
Bonus: Chris playing patty cake before getting ice cream:
Big thank you to Dan, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Jaliana, and Susan for making this one incredibly fun and loving photo shoot!
A warmer, much more festival-feel. The day kicked off with an amazing performance by Alexandra Savior! Also: Tkay Maidza, KEVIN MORBY, Strand of Oaks, Moses Sumney, Oh Wonder, Brandi Carlile, Tegan and Sara, Nathaniel Rateliff, The xx, and The 1975. As with Day One, the headliner, Mumford and Sons declined to allow photogs.
Just finished: All of Boston Calling Music Festival. It was a fantastic, if exhausting, 3 days of running around like a madman, averaging 10 miles walked each day *AT THE FESTIVAL*, and getting some great shots for RadioBDC.
You can see my work for them over at their website, and I'll have many more posts to come over the course of the next day or so with even *MORE* pictures.
Just finished: Aloud at AS220 last night as part of Cat Has Claws//Tickle Tickle//Aloud//Wild Life at AS220. It was the last time I'll see them for a while on this coast, as they're packing their guitar cases and heading west.
PSA: If you're in the vicinity of Portland tonight, may I suggest checking their last East Coast show out?...
Pictures: Some attached to the post, all over on flickr:
While I work on the photos from Aloud's penultimate East Coast show last night (Cat Has Claws//Tickle Tickle//Aloud//Wild Life at AS220), I wanted to take a look back to what is one of the first times I photographed them, way back in 2008. How far we've all come: https://www.flickr.com/ph…/askani97/albums/72157603844944353

Second only to Dreamfar High School Marathon - DHSM, being able to donate my time to Back on My Feet Boston has been a highlight of my photographic career. This group makes a difference, make a change in people's lives.
Would like to take a sec to proffer all glory to Benny "The Nominated" Grotto at Mad Oak Studios, who has been working his ass off on our next record. He does n...ot seem to be sick of us yet, but we're trying very hard, I promise. –Henry
