My family and friends had an enjoyable day at the trails despite initial cool temperatures and overcast skies. The overall experience from the moment we arrived at the track was awesome. I was hosting... friends from out of town for the weekend and hoping to give them a taste of AIKEN in the Spring. Ways that made this day stress free for me in the VIP tent were: personnel greeting us and showing us where to park, friendly and personable staff working the event, the food was warm and delicious, bathrooms were over the top, servers at the bar and food table were friendly and very helpful, and the warm air coming into the tent was a bonus and much appreciated for I'm very cold natured. The horse racing was exciting and we enjoyed the Wells Fargo demonstration as well as the carriage riders. As a first time patron of the Aiken Trials, it was worth every penny of the $750 I paid to be able to just show up. You took care of everything else. See More

Loved visiting the Training Track and watching the horses and jockeys and meeting the other people who were there that morning. Then enjoyed having a wonderful breakfast at the track kitchen.

This Saturday morn: Yes, there's a story here, but best be told by Aiken SC resident and Aiken Training Track uber exercise rider Tim McKinsey (also the Saratoga stallmeister). Important to note man or beast hurt, but Tim calling in the breaking news.
