Al Di Meola plays Elysium & More was the title ...of the concert and Al Di Meola, a bona fide fusion/jazzguitar hero, perennial poll-winner and virtuoso of the highest order, has also been recognized over the past 30 years as a prolific composer and respected artist with over 20 recordings as a leader. Al and his superb musicians Peo Alfonsi – guitar, Fausto Beccalossi, accordion and Rony Barrak , percussion played at the at the beautiful and full Open Air location Brunnen in the Residenz in Munich. Lots of friends and family from USA came too, to join this special pre Birthday concert. The Band played 2 Sets – superb alltime classic songs, great Versions of Al Di Meola's latest release "Elysium" and some tunes from “All Your Life”, his Album with fantastic versions of Beatles songs. The concert was just brilliant because Al´s music comes from the heart, nothing is constructed and the band is totally tight, all members play on the highest musically level with much fun and passion – great song arrangements, light and sound. After the last encore Mediterranean Sundance, the audience jumped off their seats, danced along and thanked the group with a frenetic and long applause.
