It's one of those stories that’ll melt your heart.
A couple married for 60 years, thanks to a Bay Area hospital staff, spend their last moments together.
Mr. Foster was an elderly man and was ill. He was being treated in the ICU at Florida Hospital North Pinellas.
...The couple wanted to spend their final hours together.
As Mrs. Foster was getting ready to visit him at the hospital she injured herself requiring the paramedics. She was transported to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson.
They were being treated in two separate hospitals, 30 minutes apart and time was running out as Mr Foster was growing ill.
Registered Nurse Vicky Crowder as well as the evening supervisor Diana Henry at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point started working closely with American Medical Response.
The transport company agreed to transport Mrs. Foster free of charge. The result is a touching and heart wrenching picture.
The family explained the transfer allowed their Nana "to have her last moments with our Pappy…the sweetest man you'd ever meet. He acknowledged Nana with the squeeze of his hand. Pappy passed away 48 hours later."

I'm pretty sheltered. That school social worker just "schooled" me about the need. Homeless kids living in their cars and using backpacks as suitcases. That breaks my heart. If you can, drop off some school supplies at FOX 13 or The Long Center. It is greatly appreciated.
