It was my pleasure to meet and address the Austin chapter of Stonewall Democrats. Even though my opponent was endorsed, I will continue to work for the marganilized communities directly affected by bad policy and absentee representation in US Congressional district TX-35. #NoSeVende #NotACareerPolitician #DemocratNotDixiecrat #Vote @Alcoserforcongress www.AlcoserforCongress.com

To all my supporters along this journey, I can never truly show my level of gratitude, but I will start with a simple but heartfelt, “Thank You.”

First and foremost, thank you to my wife, Marcela, without your support this journey would have never even began to take flight. I love you.

Thank you to my campaign staff, volunteers, poll workers, block walkers, and supporters. You all are truly the often forgotten lifeblood of grassroots campaigns like my own. Again, thank you!

...

Thank you to the voters, not just those that voted for our campaign, but ALL those that voted. There was no prouder moments in my campaign than when I got to witness events like last night at Texas State University. People, most of them young people, literally waiting hours in line to have their voices heard at the ballot box.

This was not a unique event though, across not only our congressional district, but across the state and across our great county, tens of thousands of voters waited in extremely long lines to cast their vote, something that just a few decades ago, their parents and grandparents were not allowed to do. So to ALL those that voted this election, Thank You!

No one ever enters an election not planning to be victorious, so of course we are disappointed with the results. TX 35 is a majority, minority district, and thousands of us will continue to be under-represented in our next Congress, and for that I am the most saddened.

That being said, many did not expect us to win, some even anticipated our campaign to garner only single digit support. Together, we sent a message to the incumbent, the establishment and to Austin and DC that our Raza will no longer remain silent.

This is not the end, but truly just the beginning. While I plan to take the next few weeks to spend quality time with my family, I can promise you 1 thing. I will be back, WE will be back.

Our people sent a message loud and clear, we will no longer remain silent; we demand our seat at the table!

I look forward to our endeavors together in the near future, but for now, I couldn’t end this campaign with out first telling you all, THANK YOU!
