Zolfa, a nine-years-old girl, holds her father's hand every morning and while her eyes are full of tears she asks him not to leave them but she fails as did Zeid's attempts. This is not normal but in Syria and particularly in Idlib it is real and a habit where death is continuous as long as time passes and news are prepared.

Finally, Abu Zeid can leave home wearing his civil defense suit with a white helmet covering his gray hair while he is still thirty-years o...ld. In his way to the civil defense headquarter, Abu Zeid takes a look on a photo, he has put in his pocket, for himself with his family.
As soon as he arrives, Abu Zeid hears warning sirens which alarms from a warplane that has just taken off from a near airbase to bomb either markets, schools or even Mosques. All the people are waiting and terrified while the warplane is flying over them- aged people have nothing but prayers- in addition to children who cannot find a safer place but the laps of their mothers. A huge bombardment shaked the whole city and the tiny heart of Zolfa. Her father will soon be at the targeted area in order to rescue people who were burried under their houses or under their shops; she is afraid of another airstrike which may target the same place where her father is supposed to be now. Abu Zeid hurries with his friends to the targeted area where a whole building containing four families has just turned into rubbles.

A father is crying, a mother is shouting, a car full of people is burning and many dead bodies are laid on the ground; these are details of a real massacre which looks like a scene which is taken from a movie. The rescue team of Abu Zeid has to put and face their priorities within this bloody scene. A fifty-years-old father is entreating them to rescue his wife and his only son, meanwhile another airstrike targeted a near area leaving a new massacre..!

With his tired hands, Abu Zeid moves stones and sand from a girl whose half body was burried after the bombardment. He took her out from the hands of death and started crying with her but for different reasons. She cries because of horror and pain, but he cries because he imagined for a second that his children, Zolfa and Zeid, in the same position or it could be because of hppiness as it is shown by his main motto: " And if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people".

Zolfa sits near Zeid at the door of the house waiting for their father; he is late as usual but they are confident that he will be back as he always promises them. Abu Zeid leaves the headquarter of civil defense after a long and tough day. In his way to home, he recites stories that he will tell his children about before they sleep- one of them is talking about a hero sacrifices all what he has in the sake of rescuing children.
