How awesome are these participants? I’m blown away every year, but this year is different! So many toughed it out in the rain & wind and it didn’t seem to slow them down at all. My wife and I cheered them on for a little over two hours until we decided to get some breakfast & hot coffee from Charlie Brown's Pancake and Steak House ! Congratulations to everyone participating and thanks to our #aMAYzing community that stood in the rain to cheer them on! #ThisIsSpeedway #ThisIsMay #ThisIsCommunity #IndyMini #MiniMarathon

While out knocking on doors yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting the Reed’s! During my visit, they told me how much they love Speedway. They raised their kids here, who are also raising their kids down the street, as well. They worked in Speedway, and still volunteer in Speedway. It’s neighbors like the Reed’s that make Speedway so unique. Friends, this is what it’s all about. Connecting and meeting with neighbors who actually run this town, and made it what it is today: Special.
