People have really been able to make an impact it doesn't have to be at the Texas state Legislature pray there are plenty of good organizations and neighborhood organizations um advocacy organizations um out there working most of the time there's probably one working on the issue that you want to contribute on after parkland uh you know we had a group of students teachers community members from all over the state but especially from the community around Park lit up here helping make sure that every single legislator knew uh that part of the agenda was to banish Part of the agenda was to make sure that teachers having guns is not a solution uh to to school safety um and a lot of what we were able to get done in the parkland legislation was because of that all the time there are constituents reach out to me about different issues a whole range of diverse issues uh and sometimes they can really have an impact and if and if that's not the case that should not stop you know like I said there's plenty of times one uh again citizens of just taking taking the reins on an issue they really care about um and being able to make some
