through our support of the bill of rights in the House so not that there will be any changes but will have to negotiate we'll have to than to go Percent of our percent of a more restricted bill um but not overly restrictive there would be an applications are version and a few other things um and then from there if we can continue to stand Pat for we have good bipartisan support uh considering the sanctions in lack of recognition for the trump administration I believe that there's gonna be a Cbs bill passed in this Congress it would be from in slowed awesome where we're taking pretzel by of you either but are you gonna say yeah um so you couldn't see it nicely uh but you know he shins and solid organs are actually fighting right now for the chance to uh Yes and no there especially after getting some pieces of having those protections can't talk about any were the actual chances of getting caught up on the White House consistent but that's not necessarily uh you know something that you can pull for um and talk about why he has specifically as opposed to um any type of protection for themselves so first we know that in other versions yes the White House has been hostile to pbs um and I'm support Folks getting a pathway to citizenship I know that their argument is that the reasoning for that temporary status um is no longer applicable to some of those groups um and our our way in the House will be to give them citizenship or residency afterwards the crisis and then as well is at and the reason for this is annoying right now as we speak as opposed to those other countries we've seen the administration act on that as well When we have uh folks from both harms like uh James bullard and review amendment is we are tweeting about what great bill this is an opportunity it gives me hope that if we couldn't have this passed the Congress um and that will uh get us a good journey of the way there to get in your half of the White House but there's no doubt that could be uh a potential veto which is why we feel we have to try and look at how many people in this room are facing charity back home so uh I'm willing to go on this journey um regardless of how decor anything Yeah I don't want to say so I could go on and uh like uh no in upper calcium but uh But I've done is a program on the battle you know I have a customer or um their level inside of the on and doses um and whether America that way possible it's something to see that study I'm this kind of us out of the pressure that um and back to your question about why we chose to ps um that has been basically the consensus of a lot of folks only and that or there's a rebuilding Senate than dresses this is starting with something new and even more robust doesn't make sense when the Senate um Already passed a similar bill out of Committee last term but because the House and who is still at all I may be moving further I believe um while here we have a House that's willing to pass this through um provided we can continue to work with both sides so I wanted to I go down the room that was only established process that's why we suggesting needs what the ample who thinks you gotta I can't think if that was intimate in units that have been apiece and Venezuela what do people you are starting dollars the ultimate day reference here uh in the soldiers as the weather Premier premium infrared horses uh In run February March and I'm hopeful as we advance to build on our Senate partners will advance it in apparel and fashion um around the timeline but I think I've been completed we pass them both in the House the best we could be looking at six months from now and even then we have to negotiate the differences between the bills and uh if it really looks like it's gonna pass the Congress I believe and get closer to that point we'll have the White House weighing in nor about things they may or may not I want to see it as well um so I passive in total we can get it done that this year that would be amazing but it would apply to anybody who arrived here before the data passes so it's still going to continue to help out folks who are um still fleeing right now as we speak and then so through my back of the bill if there's an extension than those new folks reply would automatically be enrolled into the extension um but it will be on eighteen month basis Good yes how they affect the economy the fabric through the culture comes in thanks for the Florida community at large there are over 233000 manage lands currently in our state and there's an uncertain amount then I wouldn't be surprised reaches closer and million or throughout the United States so we're talking about an issue that effects Florida specifically 33000 believers reported here in Central Florida where 200000 software so On your head as well about the Hispanic whether or not your just a resident Florida of this affects you um these are folks who are uh trying to make their way trying to work trying to uh live a normal life need from tyranny and lost everything and may have even had someone to defend them every removal process so this is something in uh these are folks are already probably part of the economy we just need to uh recognize than because there all the As part of the fabric of our University and so this is an issue that profoundly affects all flirty is through the fact that we have such a large number of than some of the refugees here may who have family members who are citizens who are um who lived here a long time it's not by accident that the then National refugees came into Florida Central Florida remember so we often play a role as a gateway to Central and South America and the Caribbean so and also not a surprise Remember the press no no okay we're just taking questions from Senate was advancing a Democrats and Republicans in the Senate who are advancing but in the last Congress no immigration bill it's not just finished one of no immigration bill passed the House that I could even the call um so now in Democratic Congress that's willing to pass an immigration bill as we have a willing partner to Republican Senate um so that makes a big girls um because before the senate's not in advance a bill that the House Give a hearing to they base what here and hoping to move in a rolling and despite the best and for the uh former congressman from Illinois in the last um going um which brings me to my last call to action which is we need your help let's address this is almost for you that we need you all to contact not only your uh and senators members of Congress would like to talk to your family members and other States so there's an established for a gold and black director Senate gardens he authorized Congress sees the at this time of course you come in um This is the whole country that needs to get behind this not just a state like Florida and look at this pillow and is by no Sullivan Florida influences uh let's see the goal of the aspirin in a salon spa town you've got uh a um uh um I wanna give God my good friend representative Carlos guillermo Smith a chance to just uh respond to general to some of the questions at the end and then I'll take individual questions that if you don't address any of the system um again this is gonna take time uh we are aware of what the political challenges are um but the reality is that to congressman sodas point uh we we now have uh a House of Democratic House uh in Washington that is willing um to advance this issue and we have uh what appears to be uh a fully part of the us Senate so we're gonna do everything that we can to legislative side to move this along because to the point of The members of the press were asking people are unfortunately subject to deportation right now uh without gps uh
