The best way to move the needle and the best way to win people over to our movement is by sharing your personal story uh and making trips to see your local elected official going to your state Capitol in tallahassee going to Washington to tell your story has real impact and they can make a real difference with a lot of leaders who might not necessarily be with us and some of the issues to finally see the human side of the issue whether it's Gun violence prevention whether it's immigration whether it's civil rights telling our personal stories is the most powerful tool uh that we have and that the movement has to be able to affect change we can't wait for a seat at the table to be given to us we have to just walk in and take the seat for ourselves and I think that that's kind of the story of our activism in our community
