Today, we're talking about um the debt crisis in Puerto Rico we're talking about from a Sun we're talking about uh A federal agent that has been a very slow to arrive and where we go after the hurricane, those are mean help. It so we're gonna be talking about the ideas not just to talk about that. We have many leaders in the room of many organizations. We welcome all of your Use well today, um we have three pounds of the panels for the regal and then two thousand organizations that are uh here from Florida so from Central Florida, leaving Central Florida. But some also, as far as South Florida we're doing work in the diaspora and what we want to do in this in going through the concept of this uh event is for the groups and the community to come together and to open a dialogue, learn Each other is doing uh learn about what their projects are and in that way, find synergies and opportunities to work together. Uh across the diaspora. I just here in Florida, but in other and other parts we have also uh The lunch time we're gonna have a regal size who is the director of our Puerto Rico, an Organization has been doing a lot of the same similar work and uh our particularly of the hurricane, but also around the deck. Uh in Washington dc and she will be joining us and giving us the keynote uh during lunch and uh as well. They used to bring us together from wherever we come and to be able to Exchange our artwork uh learn about each other's work, Exchange ideas and find ways to uh whoever Guys we're also here in the diaspora and for I got some properties were very concerned about what is happening here in fourth. So we talk about affordable housing. We talk a lot about jobs. We talk a lot about education, health care and almost any other issue that affects us as people who are uh needing making other life uh here in Florida, but as a diaspora, we also have the rules in Puerto Rico and what happens in Puerto Rico is also very important to us so this is uh. This is the idea the idea is for All of these issues and how these crews cannot work together. Yes, it's also very mindful and very purpose to be part of a larger community which is are not being a community and we are not uh on the Puerto. Rican. We live on long and, as well as we need them on cubans. We do along the From ecuadorian people from all over Latin America and we also live in the moment forget Americans and our own people who have been here for a long time like you know other um. Why people why do I do a good Um always longer right the name is the name You can ask people about this. Uh of this land and so um we we are, we are proud to be part of this community and every and every sense of it and we want to engage beyond just a flurry can community our name on the outside represents specifically that Uh our stretching arms building bridges to work with other people, um so in that experience I want to also recognize we have some various ones that work with us. We do and God, on um we're here today uh they worked uh they work on uh And we are with them, the sort of very uh very difficult moment that they're comfortable and from um you can't really compare the two What we hope for there is uh a single very missing down downward spiral of the economy, both countries I think that when we look at that uh there's ways to to understand that maybe the problems and some in some cases and this is uh a question worth going out there are not necessarily ideological, sometimes the problems are economic and how economic forces and the people who control your company's And any other year any any National context, if they have used the power and they control uh the kind Have similar results so I put that out there and uh as I said, we have a commitment and solidarity with the people who have been as well as well as we wanted to express this morning. Uh and understand that this elective water models and so I thought You can see that it's only And I wanted to uh and this part and open the program by making a few uh quick announcements. Um but before that I wanted to go over the agenda with you all of you have uh the end of uh so the format that we're gonna be working on. This morning. If we're gonna have the panel for Puerto Rico and then we're gonna have breakout breakout session to uh do the q and a we felt that the q and a doing a uh individually might uh allow people to get a more personal and uh and uh a better To get answers to any questions that you may have so our panelists will be divided into four different groups and you, uh, whatever you're interested in uh and asking questions to you, can move to that. Uh breakout session uh does that work for everybody okay good and then uh we're gonna have the tool uh welcome back to the room and we're gonna have All kinds from the diaspora and each of them will be giving presentations about their group work and they're gonna be talking about their work together as well and in this panel we're not gonna divide off and this and this panel is we're gonna go ahead and uh do the q and a uh with with each of the panel is here in the room and then we'll break out for lunch we'll have lunch and during lunch we'll have a presentation by any goal size of powerful Puerto Rico uh she's coming down from New York uh to join us later this morning and then uh we'll have another breakout which will also be divided by the forum of the penalties from the But in this panel I would like your your Organization if you belong to an Organization if you're, an individual, you can go to any any of the uh. You know any other. Breakouts that you want, but if you belong to an Organization, go together as an Organization because the idea of doing this is they're gonna learn. What your Organization does write and I learned which were Organization does they're gonna they're gonna be able to talk about ways to senior jobs with your Organization specifically based on the work that you do so in the second break out we're gonna We're gonna go bye bye uh by group, so I guess you know the thing get your girls together. That the members of the organizations that are here together and uh and go to each of the panels and that will be the first break. Those of you in a just basically questions the second uh breakout will be A breeze going out how, if any way in your groups work together with our folks, that are here from Puerto Rico Announcements um we have uh coming up next week uh next Saturday at and I am in this aisle similar uh. We have a training on Brussels legislative training, uh any of you interested in going to tallahassee on the 20 fifth and 26 for many of us have gone to tallahassee to lubbock well, this is an opportunity we have to uh great resources coming from Washington dc today go ahead and jenny's point this to very very experienced uh. You know a little uh There is no workers who have been in Washington dc for a long time and know how government works. They know how uh it is that you can propose an idea to government and have gone on and respond to you so we're gonna be doing a lot of training, a restrooms loving training uh on uh next Saturday um March ninth at 2 PM at our home in this there is also information about that in our table outside. We saw, if that information is training is also at low cost to participants and whether you're going to tallahassee right now is a great opportunity for you to get to know a lot We'll go on this thing is not you know, all you have to go to the hospital. You can lobby tallahassee from the comfort of your laptop. Uh. You can uh do it from the comfort of your telephone so there's a lot of ways to impact our means and uh this is what this uh workshop next week is going to do and then finally uh as part of our oven sandal uh town Hall series uh we've already had several of them. We had one in Miami. We have one in tampa and we have one uh here in orlando uh This will come in over several fourth and that is gonna be here in to see me with uh Christian are Haiti. So that was uh uh of uh, a great day and we didn't get there yesterday. We spent the entire day also going for meetings, meetings. We met with uh first uh the office the staff of Sort of great meeting with dinosaurs stuff uh, we met with the uh the the staff all from congresswoman stephanie murphy and congresswoman L dems. So it's been a busy two days. They've also been on the radio uh participating in amazing. They got interviewed by a little. You know very much. You are one of five great article and so with no further ado.
